Mit den Einsatzstichworten "Auslösung Private Brandmeldeanlage" wurden die Abteilungen Oberderdingen und Großvillars sowie die Drehleiter der Abteilung Flehingen in der Nacht zu Sonntag, 11.01.26 um 3.09 Uhr von der Integrierten Leitstelle Karlsruhe zu einem Brandeinsatz zur Gemeinschafts- bzw. Anschlussunterkunft in die Flehinger Straße nach Oberderdingen alarmiert. Dort hatte die interne, automatische Brandmeldeanlage einen Alarm ausgelöst. Der Alarm wurde dann durch Dritte über Notruf an die Integrierte Leitstelle in Karlsruhe gemeldet.

Bei der Lageerkundung und Kontrolle nach dem Eintreffen vor Ort stellte sich heraus, dass zwei Bewohner Papier angezündet hatten, wodurch folgerichtig mehrere Rauchwarnmelder einen Brand erkannten und Alarm auslösten. Das Feuer war jedoch bereits erloschen, so dass von Seiten der Feuerwehr keine weiteren Maßnahmen eingeleitet werden mussten. Die angerückten Kräfte konnte die Einsatzstelle schnell wieder verlassen. Die Anlage wurde an den Objektverantwortlichen der Stadtverwaltung übergeben.

Im Einsatz bzw. in Bereitstellung waren 13 Feuerwehrangehörige der Abteilung Oberderdingen mit dem Löschgruppenfahrzeug LF 16/20, drei Kräfte der Abteilung Flehingen mit der Drehleiter DLA (K) 23/12 sowie acht Kräfte der Abteilung Großvillars mit dem Mittleren Löschfahrzeug MLF. Vom Rettungsdienst des DRK-Kreisverbands Karlsruhe waren zwei Mitarbeitende mit einem Rettungswagen RTW von der Wache Oberderdingen vor Ort. Die Polizei war mit zwei Beamten und einem Streifenwagen vom Revier Bretten angerückt. Einsatzende war gegen 4.00 Uhr.
