21.07.2026 - 80 Jahre im Dienst der Gemeinschaft: Flehingens Ehrenkommandant Alfred Dinkel feiert runden Geburtstag

Flehingen. Alfred Dinkel, der Ehrenkommandant der Freiwilligen Feuerwehr Oberderdingen, hat seinen 80. Geburtstag gefeiert. Anlässlich dieses besonderen Geburtstags überbrachte Bürgermeister Thomas Nowitzki am 21. Juli 2026 persönlich die Glückwünsche der Stadt Oberderdingen sowie der Bürgerinnen und Bürger und würdigte das jahrzehntelange Engagement des Jubilars bei der Feuerwehr zuerst in Flehingen und dann für die Freiwillige Feuerwehr Oberderdingen.

Die Lebensgeschichte von Alfred Dinkel ist eng mit der Feuerwehr verbunden. Im Jahr 1965 trat er in die aktive Einsatzabteilung ein. Mit der Ausbildung zum Gruppenführer im Jahr 1972 übernahm er früh erste Führungsaufgaben. Nur zwei Jahre später, von 1974 bis 1977, bewährte er sich als stellvertretender Abteilungskommandant. Im Jahr 1978 folgte schließlich der Schritt an die Spitze: Alfred Dinkel wurde zum Abteilungskommandanten gewählt. Er leitete die Abteilung der Flehinger Wehr insgesamt 13 Jahre lang bis 1991 mit großem Erfolg.

Ein besonderes Herzensprojekt war für ihn die Nachwuchsarbeit. Im Jahr 1985 war Alfred Dinkel maßgeblich an der Gründung der Jugendfeuerwehr Flehingen beteiligt. Damit sicherte er die Zukunft der Feuerwehr, die bis heute von dieser Arbeit profitiert. Für diese großen Verdienste ernannte ihn die Feuerwehr im Jahr 2000 zum Ehrenkommandanten. Eine weitere hohe Anerkennung folgte im Jahr 2005, als er das Feuerwehr-Ehrenzeichen in Gold erhielt.

Nach 47 Jahren im aktiven Dienst wechselte Alfred Dinkel im Jahr 2012 in die Altersabteilung. Auch dort nimmt er noch immer aktiv am Kameradschaftsleben teil. Bei seinem Besuch betonte Bürgermeister Nowitzki, dass die Gemeinde stolz auf Vorbilder wie Alfred Dinkel sei. Die Freiwillige Feuerwehr Oberderdingen und die Stadt gratulieren von Herzen und wünschen dem Ehrenkommandanten für die Zukunft vor allem Gesundheit.

Am Abend des Geburtstages gratulierten die Kameradinnen und Kameraden der Feuerwehr „ihrem“ Ehrenkommandanten selbst zum 80. Geburtstag.
