Großvillars. Am 31.12.2025 feierten Teile der aktiven Wehr sowie der Altersmannschaft den Jahreswechsel im Feuerwehrhaus Großvillars. Wie in den vergangenen Jahren war es ein schöner und sehr geselliger Abend mit zahlreichen kulinarischen Leckereien – ab dem 01.01.2026 wird bekanntlich wieder etwas gebremst.

 

Während des Feuerwerks gegen 0.13 Uhr wurden die anwesenden Kameradinnen und Kameraden durch einen aufmerksamen Mitbürger darüber informiert, dass sich etwa 100 Meter vom Gerätehaus entfernt ein Komposthaufen in Brand befand. Nach kurzer Erkundung und mit Wassereimern ausgerüstet, konnte der Brand zügig gelöscht werden. Zur Freude aller durfte sich sogar die Altersabteilung aktiv an der Brandbekämpfung beteiligen.

Dieser Einsatz war damit zugleich der erste Einsatz der Feuerwehr Großvillars im Jahr 2026 und erfolgte als stiller Alarm. Dank des schnellen Handelns konnte eine Ausbreitung verhindert werden. Wäre der Komposthaufen nicht rechtzeitig abgelöscht worden, hätte sich der angrenzende Holzschuppen sowie ein Wohnhaus entzünden können.

Im Anschluss wurde die Silvesterfeier bis in die Morgenstunden fortgesetzt. Ein herzlicher Dank gilt dem aufmerksamen Mitbürger für den wichtigen Hinweis.
